We place great value on our community and the relationships within it. We believe that church is not about a building but about engaging with those around us. It is a privilege to be able to use our church space to serve the community, holding a toddler group, seasonal events, film nights, youth events and events for our older generation. Whilst we are a listed building we do have lovely underfloor heating and chairs that we can push to one side to create a warm, homely atmosphere.
Tuesdays 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Chagford Gospel Church - Term time only
During term time, we run a weekly Toast Club/Toddler and Baby group where we enjoy spending time chatting, playing and eating copious amounts of jammy toast with our local mums/dads and tots (and of course grandparents, childminders etc are always welcome too!).
Do come along and meet us each Tuesday during term time.
Film and Food Night
First Sunday of Month : 6pm - 8:30pm

Have fun, eat food, watch a movie and then discuss the Christian perspective of whatever film watched with Wez, our local youth worker. Films watched included The Goonies, Passenger, The Shack, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the original one !). All encouraged to bring a friend. Funded by On the Edge. Our local youth work sponsored by the churches and community together.
Community Gospel Choir

Wednesdays : Hatherleigh Methodist Church
Thursdays : Chagford (Rushford Forge)
Jon, one of the CGC members, runs a community gospel choir with members both very locally in Chagford and also in Hatherleigh. Fun & friendly, they don’t take themselves too seriously, and enjoy singing an eclectic mix of full-on Gospel.
Contact Jon for more information.
Soup and Sweet Lunch
Selected days only. Next date to be confirmed.
Join us for a bowl of soup and a pudding - an informal time and chance for us to meet with the more elderly members of our community.
The soup and sweet lunch is followed by a short talk or presentation.
